✨This Week's Vibe: Hungry for Change

Your cosmic energy report for June 2-8, 2025

Hiya loves,

Welcome to the Wheel of the Year Weekly Vibe Report for the week of June 2-8, 2025. Welcome to the month of June, already! How’d that happen?

First off, a couple of announcements:

Number 1, thanks so much for all your input on the format of these transmissions, as I considered a different approach of writing about specific transits instead of a weekly overview.

Many people reached out to say how much they appreciate the weekly format so they can have a regular time to plan their week ahead with the energies at play, and so I decided to stick with the weeklies.

One thoughtful response was likening these multi-dimensional weekly transmissions as medicine similar to an herbal tincture. She wrote “It's so tricky to envision how to share these transits through transmission to both honor the way you engage with it, but also in ways that people can access it. Compliance is key, like in herbal medicine. Some folks just don't want to taste the tincture even if its the *best* way of delivery. If it isn't delivered at all, then the medicine has no chance!

The fact is, when I post specific transit articles I do get a lot more engagement and click-thrus than in the blended forecasts… But the intersections between all of the systems is where the magic lies for me. So I’m gonna keep up the Monday musings, and also add in some occasional transit specific posts to keep it fresh.

All this to say, I put a lot of work into this project each week and deeply appreciate all of you who support it. If you do get value from these transmissions, please consider sharing them with someone who might like them, or upgrading to a paid subscription (which comes with plenty of goodies and deep-dives each season!)

Number 2, thanks to those of you who made it out to the Gemini Season Session and Breathwork Journey last week. It was fun to touch in and share about the energies of the season ahead, and then journey with the theme of deep curiosity with our breath. I did hear that there were a couple people who didn’t receive email updates about it, and for that I apologize- I’ve fixed email issues and will be sure to notify you with plenty of advance warning for future sessions! They will be held on the last Wednesday of each month, and the next one will be held on Wednesday, June 25th.

About last week…

How did last week’s Gemini New Moon (in the Human Design Gate of the Now) and Mercury Cazimi (in the Gate of Skills) show up in your world?

I’m always surprised by how the business of Gemini season does show up so quickly, especially as a mother with a school-aged kid. The much-anticipated last-day-of-school happening in Gemini season each year makes so much sense- last week I witnessed the phenomenon of kids being let out of their cages and a wild swarming energy taking over the once-civilized breweries, swimming pools, and parks. As I write this, I’m honestly tuckered out from all the unexpected socializing.

But the first Human Design gates of Gemini season -Gates of the Now and Skills- were great reminders to stay in the present moment and follow my heart as the cross-pollination happened around me. Gemini season is known for the buzz, but these two gates where the new moon and Mercury Cazimi fell last week encouraged us to know that we ourselves don’t have to do it all- if we all choose to dive into what we are passionate about, like a bee diving into the pollen of a single flower, then the whole field will be pollenated with passionate abandon.

This upcoming week, the energy stays in that alive Gemini vibe as the sun enters the Gate of Change (Gate 35). In the I’ching, this gate is known as Chin or Progress, composed of the 2 trigrams Fire over Earth. The image here of fire spreading across the earth, changing the earth itself as it does, follows after the gate of skills nicely. First we hone in on our own hearth, our own skills and power, and then we must remember to spread the fire, to cross-pollinate with the seeds of genius in others. Collective progress cannot exist in a vacuum, and is dependent on interaction. Through honing your own skills and also interacting with others, each individual person’s radiant inner sun comes together to shine like a fire’s light over the earth.

To regard all things as one,
is to be a companion of Nature. -Chuang Tzu

Monday-Saturday: The Gate of Change (35), Venus Enters Taurus

After leaning into on what we’re deeply curious about during last weeks Mercury Cazimi in the Gate of Skills, this week we’re riding some (beneficial) shapeshifting waves as the Sun moves through Gate 35 (the Gate of Change) and both Mercury and Venus change signs.

Gate 35 is known in the I’Ching as Progress, in Human Design as The Gate of Change, and in the Gene Keys as the journey from Hunger to Adventure to Boundlessness. To anchor all that movement, Venus slips into Taurus on Friday, her favorite seat in the zodiac, a place where desire becomes grounded and the senses become sovereign. It’s like a wild traveler finally coming home, throwing their bags down, and saying, “Alright, let’s enjoy a cuppa tea.”

Gate 35: The Gate of Change

Gate 35 lives in the throat center in Human Design, and it’s associated with communication, expression, and the desire for new experiences. It’s here to taste the whole buffet of life.

This gate is hungry for adventure, for movement, for “the next thing.” But it’s also wise enough (eventually) to realize that not all experiences are satisfying- some leave you emptier than before.

In the Gene Keys, this gate’s shadow is Hunger: an insatiable drive to chase the next thrill, the next relationship, the next project. It’s the kind of hunger that’s never satisfied, no matter how much you consume. But when you stop chasing and start experiencing, that hunger matures into the gift of Adventure, where you learn from what you’re moving through, not just trying to get to the next hit.

Are you hungry? Or are you just bored?

At its highest frequency, Gate 35 becomes Boundlessness. That’s when you realize that the real adventure isn’t “out there,” it’s in the quality of your awareness, in the way you meet each moment, rather than escape it.

So this week, notice:

• Where are you chasing the next thing just to avoid stillness?

• What happens if you fully taste the moment you’re already in?

• Is this hunger a call to grow, or just a habit?

Venus in Taurus: Sensual Anchoring

Just in time, Venus comes home to Taurus. This is the ultimate “don’t text your ex, light a candle and feed yourself something beautiful” transit. It’s slow, embodied, tactile. Think pleasure without rush, beauty without performance.

Venus in Taurus reminds us that the body is an altar. That relationships are gardens that need tending. That value should be given to what lasts, what supports, what nourishes us.

Together with the change-hungry energy of Gate 35 this week, Venus in Taurus says:

Yes, change is good. Yes, chase experience. But root it in something tangible.

Weekly Practice Ideas:

• Adventure check-in: Make a list of what you’re craving right now. Is it rooted in real longing, or is it distraction?

• Sensory ritual: Each day, intentionally engage your senses: touch, taste, smell, sound, sight. Let your body be your compass.

• Create a “pleasure anchor”: Pick one small, daily action (like making tea slowly or moisturizing your skin) that grounds you in the present moment.

This week asks us to reconcile the desire for more with the wisdom of enough. Gate 35 wants to go, Venus in Taurus wants to stay. When you can hold both, you find the magic. Adventure doesn’t always mean a plane ticket - sometimes it’s slowing down enough to feel something new in the ordinary.

Sunday into next week: The Gate of the Gatherer, Mercury enters Cancer

At the end of a week of restless seeking with Gate 35 (The Gate of Change) and Venus stretching out luxuriously in Taurus, we shift gears again. Sunday brings the Sun into Gate 45 -The Gate of the Gatherer - and Mercury moves into Cancer, softening our thoughts and pulling our attention toward what truly feels like home.

This combo is less “let’s explore the world” and more “let’s feed the people we love and talk about how we really feel.”

In Human Design, Gate 45 sits in the throat center and is often associated with leadership - but not the solo kind. Gate 45 is the sovereign, the one who speaks for the tribe, the voice that says, “We have enough. Let me distribute it well.” 45 is the queen who knows that true power isn’t hoarded, it’s shared. The I’Ching calls this hexagram Gathering Together, and that feels exactly right. It’s about unity, community, and shared purpose.

In the Gene Keys, Gate 45 moves from the shadow of Dominance to the Gift of Synergy to the Siddhi of Communion. The alchemy of this energy is when a desire for control gives way to cooperation and synergistic knowing with other beings, true wealth becomes something shared. This gate wants us to gather in a way that serves the whole. It’s not about getting more for yourself, it’s about creating a container where everyone can thrive.

A Personal reflection on Gate 45

I don’t have many planets in Gemini, but gate 45 is kinda stacked for me, with my North Node and my Design Sun in Gate 45.

When I have contemplated this gate in relation to what I have been called to do with my life (resulting from both what I am hungry for (my north node) and what I subconsciously radiate (design sun), it feels very aligned and resonant. I’ve never quite fit into other people’s systems, but I’ve always felt called to build my own. This desire is not out of rebellion or out of necessity. But out of a deep, almost cellular knowing that there’s something I’m here to gather together… and then share.

When I started Cycles of Time, I didn’t know I was stepping into Gate 45. I just knew there were pieces scattered across traditions—astrology, human design, the seasons, somatic practice, myth, breath, the body—that I wanted to recognize in relationship. Not stitched into a doctrine or dogma, but gathered like ingredients, and offered like a nourishing meal.

Same with Astrosomatics. I wasn’t trying to create a brand. I was responding to a call (that came to me again and again in the middle of the night in dreams). People around me were craving something that wove the cosmos back into their bodies, something that made the stars feel less like cold geometry and more like a living conversation. I couldn’t ignore that. So I made something. I shared what I had.

I’ve always loved synthesizing. I can’t help but see the links between disciplines, between people, between what someone says and what their breath is doing underneath it. I move through life with a sort of inner loom, watching how things could be woven together to serve a greater pattern. I used to think that was just a personal quirk. Now I know it’s the work of the Gatherer.

Gate 45 isn’t just about leadership. It’s about stewardship. I’ve always been called ‘a leader’, but I never resonated with how I thought of leaders, leading from the front. Gate 45 had helped me recognize that all I want as a leader is to build a hearth that people can come sit around.

My design (subconscious) sun placement is in line 45.1. Line 1 is the Investigator, the people who build solid internal foundations by studying, experimenting, and researching. I have always had a cellular drive to understand systems, not just follow them. I’ve always needed to understand how things work beneath the surface - whether it’s a system, a body, or a cycle of time. I typically don’t speak unless I’ve felt something through. My sense of authority comes from study, experience, and embodiment, and this is the energy that has quietly shaped everything I build.

My north node, by contrast, is in line 45.5, bringing more heretical energy to what I’m hungry to do in this life. In Human Design, Line 5 is the Leader, the Fixer, the one who sees the bigger picture and wants to offer solutions that help everyone. Line 5 energy is inherently projected, where people often see you as someone who can solve problems or “save” the situation.

People often project expectations onto me, and I’ve had to figure out what’s mine to carry and what’s not. This path keeps asking me to step into visibility with integrity, to speak not just for myself, but on behalf of a vision that serves the collective. I’m drawn to leadership positions, but I’m not here to hoard power- I’m here to share it widely and wisely, speaking the language of synergy.

And maybe that’s the deepest truth of it: I think I’m here to distribute instead of accumulate, to lead on behalf of something larger than myself. I’m here to remember, to reconnect, and to share about the universal things that we can all be held by when everything feels like it’s changing way too fast: the cycles, our breath, our body, the sky.

Gate 45 is my reminder that my voice matters most when it’s not just mine, but when it’s rooted in service and when it feeds something bigger than me. Amidst all this curiosity about whether I’m going in the right direction or not with this project, I guess Gate 45 tells me what I should keep doing - gathering what I can, finding synergistic elements within meaningful systems, and listening for what wants to emerge through the conversational streams that join together in the Lake over the Earth.

Mercury Enters Cancer: The Waters of Thought

The same day as the sun moves into Gate 45, Mercury moves into the sign of Cancer. This transit adds a deep emotional current to how we think, speak, process and gather. After Mercury’s time in airy Gemini, which is quick, clever, and curious, this shift is like moving from text messages to handwritten letters, or from tweets to tearful voice notes.

Mercury in Cancer speaks in feelings, in memories, in the language of comfort and intuition, where communication becomes less about facts and more about deep connection. It’s a great time to:

  • Reach out to someone you miss.

  • Revisit old creative writing, journaling, or even family stories.

  • Create a sanctuary around your mind—what media are you consuming? Does it nourish you?

This transit also supports emotional intelligence, especially in group settings. Paired with Gate 45 and Venus in Taurus over the next week, it asks us How do I lead with care and embodiment? How do I recognize, sense, and speak for the good of the whole, not just myself?

The Week’s Big Picture

This week is about acknowledging and feeding your hunger for new experiences (Gate 35). We enter the weekend with the assignment of gathering meaning and leading from behind based on what we’ve lived out. Sunday into next week is about remembering that your voice matters, but only if it’s rooted in heart and integrity, with Gate 45 calling you to share your gifts, your resources, and your attention from a place of communion rather than of control.

Venus will be in Taurus from June 6 to July 4, reminding us to move with slow sensuality and value what lasts in the month of June. Mercury will be in Cancer from June 8 until June 26, urging us to say what we truly feel this month, not just what we think will sounds good to the masses.

This week, think like a wise elder who’s walked through many adventures (Gate 35), and now returns with stories to share and wisdom to distribute (Gate 45). Speak from the heart. Share what you’ve gathered, and know that true abundance grows when we stop keeping score.

Share

Have a gorgeous week ahead, lovelies.

See you next Monday when Jupiter enters Cancer for the next year, and we look forward to basking under the full Strawberry moon in Sagittarius.
